Let’s talk about carpet

If you haven’t bought carpet in a few years, you’re in for a surprise.  Now there are several types of carpets available.  Traditionally, carpet has been either nylon, polyester or wool and they are still available.  But now there is Smart Strand which is a Dupont/ Mohawk brand.  It’s made from Corn Syrup!  Hard to believe but it is so very soft and hard to stain.  In fact, it has been in my bedroom for 8 years (and it’s white).   Every stain has been removed with warm water only.   

In our showroom we have DreamWeaver Carpet from Engineered Floors. We love this carpet because it’s polyester, has lots of options and a very good price point.  We have Masland Carpet, a Dixie Group company.  Their carpets have beautiful designs and come in wool and Stainmaster Nylon.  Anderson Tuftex is another beautiful carpet brand we carry that has wonderful designs and colors. Both Anderson Tuftex and Masland carpet can be made into area rugs or stair runners.  

We’re finding that while customers use Luxury Vinyl Planks in most of the house, carpet is still preferred in the bedrooms.  So come by and let us show you all the options for carpeting.
